said, when love is also a deep and meaningful friendship, it allows us to
spread our wings and fly. This enables us to pursue our life's passions
while going through life with a partner we love.

Great story you've shared on your relationship and how that plays in with love and friendship. And I do believe, too, that love pulls us together, but it's true friendship which allows us to also spread our wings and fly. And that's a pretty wonderful thought, especially when love is much more than just romantic, when it's also a deep and meaningful friendship.

I am just going to take a moment to reply to Lionslinger. I believe that for you to truly love someone or something you need to truly LIKE yourself no matter what anybody else thinks or says.
While I do believe that love & friendship are confusing they can only go hand in hand after many trials & errors.
I was a mom at age 16 due to believing that my “friend” was also my knight in shining armor and rescuing me from a life that I thought to be horrendous…I am much older and less wiser now.
These types of friends are no more than a dime a dozen. I met my soulmate and married him before we became “friends” I am still happily married and enjoying love. life, friendship and mostly me because he taught me that. I cannot have anything without me first. I still have a hard time with the concept as my sons, soulmate of 27+ years, dogs and my truest frinds always come before me…but they balance me and keep my feet on the ground with nothing more than frindship and love in abundance.
You cannot give unless you are open to receive, you cannot have unless you are willing to accept and truly LIKE you. everything in your life begins and ends with you so make you a priority. May your journey be filled with truest of love and frindship!

friendship do belong in the same well as you said. It is important to allow
your partner (and yourself) to grow so that you can have a great friendship

Love and friendship are confusing. They both go on a deeper level; on a level that they become one.
In our everyday life we misuse the concept of love and frienship. We say that we love someone or that we are in friendship with someone, but not being aware of its true virtue.

When we truly love somebody we give them the freedom to grow and let them express their true self without fear and inhibition. So is the same with frienship.

They say it's hard to find true love. But equally, it's hard to find true friendship. I think they belong in the same well. Don't you think.
